Minnesota Farm Wedding-Scott & Ashley Kennedy
I have been looking forward to this gorgeous wedding for a year! We photographed their engagement photos last fall and all of the details Ashley told me about for their big day, sounded so fun i couldn't wait! She and her family had already thought ahead just in case and in a few of the sheds were a lovely spot for groups photos (we also climbed up on one of the wagons for some more unique shots too!)
i was in heaven all day. The girls got ready at Scott and Ashley's house and it made it so special to have these photographs in their home. The dress shot was right in their backyard, those trees are so beautiful! (and one of the bridesmaids and a friend from high school is sneakily behind the dress holding it too. such a sport!)
One of the many things i love about having the opportunity to photograph childhood friends' wedding is seeing so many friends come together and the overwhelming emotions that run for these lovely girls. There is never a dry eye, including my own. i saw her dress, and tears ran down my cheek. Ashley you are truly beautiful inside and out. When i think about younger days, i can always clearly see you laughing and always being true to you.
one aspect about the day is, a lot of brides want to use umbrellas because they're so cute.. and we got to and have it be for good use!
Brody and Scott waited to see Ashley together for the first look, and they all hugged and had a moment giggling and kissing. it couldn't have been more perfect. One of those moments i know i'm doing exactly what i should be, so glad i could capture their smiles!

i had to share the group photo above, everyone in the wedding party was so fun and ready for photos and put up with me as long as i needed! so much personality here!
oh this was just too adorable. you can even see some of the raindrops falling while the ceremony started.
one part that completely has stuck with me on this beautiful rainy day is one of the verses that was read during the ceremony. It's Psalm 121:1-2 I lift up my eyes to the mountains, where does my help come from. My help comes from you, maker of Heaven and earth. Their ceremony was full of meaningful intimate moments, and that verse just added such beauty.

Congratulations again Scott and Ashley Kennedy (and Brody too!) it was such an honor to be there on your special day, i adore the love you have for one another and i loved seeing how blessed you are with awesome friends and family. Also, it was the first time i had rumchata shots, and um.. yes they're my favorite. Can't wait to see you both again!
