Classic Minnesota Country Wedding- Ben & Miranda
Ben & Miranda Holst had a truly perfect classic country minnesota wedding. the whole day was located on their farm, and it had perfect vintage touches, all the details were designed and put together by the bride! (talented and creative!) i have to admit, i wanted to be wearing one of the bridesmaid dresses.. and boots. They were so cute, and pink! how can you go wrong!?
I've been so blessed, that bridesmaids are willing to help with me dresses, i'm short... so any help is welcomed! miranda's gorgeous dress with a hint of pink is from Belles & Beaus and her boots from country outfitters. if you didn't notice, we used the boots before...worn during the boudoir photos!
i love when the men have fun with photos, and are relaxed. i couldn't have asked for a better group! those laughs and sweet moves. ;)
watching the bride and her sweet mama were the first (but not last) tears for everyone this day. you can see her having to stand behind, no eye contact... save the makeup :)
The floral from Something Blue in Red Wing, i was drooling over. everything was over the top beautiful and it all fit together so well! Miranda's vision was spot on with every detail.
it was a little toasty out, but the girls did so well, and we had so much fun! love their expressions! look how cute they are! still want that dress. it's from David's Bridal!
i was floored when i saw all the signs. Miranda's friend did them ALL. i thought for sure she went on etsy and spend HUNDREDS and hundreds. they were flawless like the whole day.
i think it adds a unique element when the couple chooses a location that is not only beautiful, but is meaningful. Right in their backyard, they were married and we all celebrated. We also shot some of their engagement photos right there too! This land has been in their family for over 100 years, and their grandparents had been married here as well!
This couple is beyond beautiful together. i was told to watch Ben for when he first saw Miranda, and i'm so glad i did. when he saw her, his love and emotions overflowed. it was such a special moment to capture, and i lost it then too. another blubbering time behind the camera. It always is such a heart-warming ceremony, when the couple chooses to include kids as much as possible. it's so important for them to know that they're just as big a part of this day and they made sure Colton knew that too. He was included in every part possible, and they made sure to hold on to Colton too as they went into the reception. what a blessed family to have one another and love each other so much!
how could i not include these moments between the bride and groom and their best friends. the whole day, i didn't slow down snapping. beautiful people and memories.
we rounded up the wedding party and got some fun shots! brown and pink and the details? my goodness, a photographers dream.
Ben, Miranda, Colton and i got to sneak away for a few minutes for family photos too. look at that big smile! :)
i had a chance to talk to the bride's father. It completely melted my heart to hear him talk about family, and his youngest daughter getting married. Their relationship is beautiful, you can see it during the father daughter dance, and a reception photo singing at the top of their lungs. awesome. seriously. Her parents also surprised them with a cake and cupcakes!
even for the first dance, Ben and Miranda started by dancing together, and then Colton joined in too!
I think he stole the show, with all his dance moves! the DJ was awesome, and kept everyone Dancing. Tony from MixIt Productions, who i highly recommend!
Miranda's words about the the father daughter dance.. " the dance was extremely special to me, i have always been a huge daddy's girl and the second the 2 notes came on to the song, i knew exactly what it was. my obnoxious crying were nothing but tears of joy from the love and support and amazing life my dad and mom have given to me. the song was Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman."
i have to add.. it wasn't obnoxious crying. it was one of those moments that you could truly feel the love they had for one another and how much she was thankful for him and family. So Miranda- even from the outside looking in, it was a perfect moment.
i wanted to share about 100 photos more, especially at the dance! It was a day filled with beauty, laughs, but most of all, family celebrating together. I love to be around families for the wedding day. It allows me to see just a small part of the love and relationships. This family had true respect and cared for one another so much. i couldn't help but hug them and adore how much fun they all had.
Miranda, Ben, & Colton too!- i wish you the very best. i'll be continually praying for your marriage, and am so honored i was able to be a part of your day! you are beautiful inside and out. Congratulations!
