Outdoor Beauty session: Pine Island, Minnesota- Sarah

I am so glad i got to spend a couple hours with this Sarah. To hear a little bit of her story, and to be around that positive energy was nothing but wonderful for my heart. I think we laughed just about the entire time aside from when i made her give me that sultry look.  She got in the water shivering still with a smile on her face, and was all up for getting in the purple flowers even though neither of us knew what itch weed looked like. 

I love portraits because i get such an intimate part of their story. I am able to spend a few hours and see their real laughs and smiles and emotions. I get to see into their life and share just a small portion of that and there’s always a good adventure. They show me who they are, and it makes me emotional too. (Sarah’s shoot just happened to be constant laughs) I admire Sarah’s joy and ambition. she’s a strong beautiful soul who shines and shares that to the people she’s around.

While I'm in Minnesota, I find that I get more inspired by nature and people and structures. I was able to spend time outdoors shooting in flowers, creeks, farms and old buildings downtown Minneapolis. Always thankful for my time there and the people i spend it with. (and like i shared on snapchat... i even sometimes listen to country music.. WHAT!)
